Charcoal is more challenging and messy, but ultimately lets artists achieve an entirely different experience and reach another level of realism. Students can learn to use different types of charcoal such as charcoal sticks, pencils, and powder.

This course is for those who have mastered shading with graphite and wish to start moving into the world of paint. Students will learn to use watercolor paints, understand color theory, and delve into several techniques that can be used to manipulate and master this extraordinary medium.
